A new update has given the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge a raft of new features. Black, gray/silver and gold are the in-colors now, and if it sells more phones for Samsung, choosing them is clearly the sensible decision. The device is also expected to have a third variant, the S7 Edge+, but that will be releasing at a later date and will be releasing only in select countries.
According to a SamMobile report, the Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 devices have got the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update in Poland.
The upcoming new Samsung Galaxy S7 and the dual curved Galaxy S7 edge will be available for €700 and €800, respectively in Europe once they're released. As of now there is no officially confirmed detailed specifications of the new Samsung smartphone, which will be unveiled on 21 February in Barcelona.
Samsung's next flagship smartphone has already been given the full leak treatment, but in case there was any doubt left, Samsung Indonesia has leaked a teaser page and unlisted video full of juicy details. The video doesn't name the model being used, but Threesyadinda seems comfortable enough using it in a downpour, suggesting the rumored return to waterproofing is a go.
At the start of the year, infamous leaker Evan Blass detailed what to expect from the two Android phones.
Previous reports indicated that, under the hood, the devices will be powered by either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or Samsung's own Exynos 8890 processor partnered with 4GB RAM. Other than that, Samsung says that it is up to when specific carriers in different markets are ready to get the OS out to Galaxy S6 phones.
The update brings several new features to Samsung's devices, including Now on Tap, which allows Google Now to access information gathered inside more of your Android apps to present you with better results.
