Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro Has Been Spotted On GFXBench And It Will Support 4GB of RAM

Weeks ago, we've heard that Samsung is developing the Galaxy A9 Pro, which is different from the A9 (2016), which was released in January, and recently, the SM-A9100 model has been spotted in India, where it was sent for testing, but its specs haven't been revealed by the manufacturer. Now, the phablet has been spotted on GFXBench and now we finally know everything about its specs. And believe us, this will be a kick-ass smartphone!

The new Galaxy A (2016) series of smartphones released by Samsung included two models: the A9 with a massive 6-inch screen and the smaller A7 with a 5.5-inch screen, while the A8, which has been announced in December, is expected to feature a 5.7-inch screen. Apparently, the A9 Pro that we're talking about, will come with a 5.5-inch screen, although it's hard to understand why wouldn't have the same dimension as the A7 model.

As for the internal specs, it seems that the chipset will be Snapdragon 652, just like that of the A9 (2016) and will be powered by an octa core processor consisting of four Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 1.8GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.2 GHz. But, compared to the A9 model, the Pro version will support 4GB of RAM, instead of 3GB, and this will boost the processor's performance.

Let's move on to the camera department. The benchmark reports say that the main shooter will have a resolution of 15.92MP (4,608 x 3,456 pixels) and will have a Sony IMX298 sensor, while the front camera will support 7.99MP (3,264 x 2,448 pixels). The battery capacity hasn't been specified, but it will be smaller than that of the A9 (2016), which is 4000mAh. Most likely, Samsung will announce this smartphone in the coming weeks, after the testing will be over in India.

As for the Galaxy A9 (2016), the phablet has a 6-inch screen with a Full HD resolution that gives a pixel density of 367ppi, it has a 13MP ISOCELL rear camera (Samsung S5K3L2 sensor) and an 8MP front camera. In India, this phablet will be available for the price of $515.
