Samsung, HP take contrasting approaches to business uses for Android, Windows 10 Mobile

The new flagship Galaxy smartphone is jampacked with the latest technologies, but one feature may have been overlooked by most.

Samsung's new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge have the best smartphone displays ever tested by the experts at DisplayMate. Rather than creating a new design, Samsung stuck with what worked for the Galaxy S6 and made several improvements under the hood that fans will immediately notice and appreciate.

Reputable tech analyst Dr. Raymond Soneira of DisplayMate has just published its in-depth analysis of Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge displays, and according to him they are unrivaled.

Apple has reportedly been "consulting with display makers" about OLED technology to eliminate potential drawbacks, which now range from shorter lifespans to higher manufacturing costs than LCD displays.

The in-depth display shoot-out found the Galaxy S7 display to be significantly better than the Galaxy S6, including increased brightness by up to 29 percent, improved screen visibility in bright environments, and more efficient power consumption.

What we're referring to is the fact that Google Play Music and Google Play Movies have replaced the default Music and Video players on the Galaxy S7.

It's also claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S7 display is "the first to do Automatic Brightness correctly", with a more flexible and customisable Personalised Automatic Brightness Control on offer.

In unboxing the Galaxy S7 this week, Samsung showed off two key feature upgrades that in all likelihood will be matched by Apple with its iPhone 7 release date plans.

The Galaxy S7's display now matches or exceeds the larger Galaxy Note 5's display in terms of brightness, color accuracy, and contrast rating in high ambient light.

The use of OLED technology is said to be the key reason as to why Samsung has been able to outstrip the competition.

The Samsung Galaxy Note7 (S820) Review

This year has been difficult for smartphones, which is a bit of a paradox when you consider just how much better things have gotten compared to last year. With Snapdragon 820, 650, 652, and 625 we've finally moved past the shadow of the Snapdragon 810, 808, and 617/615. While there were Android devices that shipped with the Exynos 7420, they were often paired with a modem that was not necessarily the most power efficient. Despite all of this, there seems to be a general disappointment with smartphones. People are increasingly finding it hard to justify phones like the HTC 10 or Galaxy S7 with competition from OnePlus, Xiaomi, and even Apple with their iPhone SE. In this context the Galaxy Note7 brings much of the flavor of the Galaxy S7 edge, but blends it with the S-Pen of the Note line and a few new features like the iris scanner. If you were paying attention to the industry with the launch of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note5, it's very much more of the same rather than the m
