Qualcomm Powers Samsung Galaxy S7

Unveiled on the eve of the Mobile World Congress tech show, the new S7 and S7 Edge were said to the best phones that Samsung has ever made.

As nice as the Galaxy S6 line up was, a lot of faithful Samsung fans were disappointed when the phones arrived without removable batteries or expandable storage.

Samsung admitted it was wrong to remove the microSD from the Galaxy S6's design previous year by bringing it back for the Galaxy S7.

As for the rest of the device, the S7 and S7 edge will see the AMOLED display on 5.1-inch and 5.5-inch panels respectively and each will boast the same QHD display (2550x1440 pixels). Furthermore, you're safe if your phone sits in water 1,5km deep for 30 minutes.

"We believe in a world that's brighter, sharper, more convenient, and more fun".

As for now, prices for the Samsung Galaxy S7 flagships and the Gear 360 haven't been announced, but are up for pre-orders. The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are not just more powerful than the S6 and S6 edge. Let's look at what other details that failed to make it out before the announcement. With Type-C, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge could have been hooked up to a wider range of high-resolution displays, but that won't be possible with the existing technology. Both smartphones are powered either by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 64-bit processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. It has been reported that the device is great when it comes to battery power management.

For those interested in the standard Galaxy S7, this is a smartphone which will be available for $28 per month, over the course of a 24-month plan. There's also a slot for the microSD card (up to 128GB supported) and a swappable battery, both of which are hidden behind a small door.

Moreover, along with enabling the users of new Galaxy handsets to identify callers of incoming calls, the Whitepages software integrated with the handsets will also enable them to search for the nearest businesses for their needs.

The South Korean technology firm recently used its flexible display technology in the award-winning Galaxy S6 Edge, which has a dual curved QHD screen. However this latest patent, which was published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, shows the company has bolder ambitions for its curved displays. The illustrations filed with the approved patent reveal a cylindrical hub, which houses the rolled display – which unfurls like a pair of window blinds. The Samsung Galaxy Note7 (S820) Review

This year has been difficult for smartphones, which is a bit of a paradox when you consider just how much better things have gotten compared to last year. With Snapdragon 820, 650, 652, and 625 we've finally moved past the shadow of the Snapdragon 810, 808, and 617/615. While there were Android devices that shipped with the Exynos 7420, they were often paired with a modem that was not necessarily the most power efficient. Despite all of this, there seems to be a general disappointment with smartphones. People are increasingly finding it hard to justify phones like the HTC 10 or Galaxy S7 with competition from OnePlus, Xiaomi, and even Apple with their iPhone SE. In this context the Galaxy Note7 brings much of the flavor of the Galaxy S7 edge, but blends it with the S-Pen of the Note line and a few new features like the iris scanner. If you were paying attention to the industry with the launch of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note5, it's very much more of the same rather than the m
