All the rumors, reports and leaks were true, there were no surprises when the new Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge were announced. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The Galaxy S5 is perhaps the most unpopular flagship smartphone of Samsung as it is actually the reason why Samsung lost its grip to Apple in 2014 for the title of the world's best smartphone manufacturer. Samsung wins appeal in patent dispute with Apple | Reuters

A U.S. appeals court on Friday overturned a $120 million jury verdict against Samsung, finally handing the South Korean smartphone maker a significant win in its longstanding patent feud with top rival Apple. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C., said Samsung Electronics Co Ltd did not infringe Apple's "quick links" patent, and that two other patents covering the iPhone's slide-to-unlock and auto-correct features were invalid. The court also said Apple was liable for infringing one of Samsung's patents. In a statement, a Samsung spokeswoman said: "Today's decision is a win for consumer choice and puts competition back where it belongs - in the marketplace, not in the courtroom." A spokeswoman for Apple declined to comment. Apple and Samsung have been battling over mobile device technology patents for years. Apple has mostly prevailed, and in December, Samsung paid Apple $548.2 million stemming from a s

DisplayMate Says The Galaxy S7 Has The Best Smartphone Display Ever

But it isn't only in raw brightness capabilities that the Galaxy S7 excels. However, this is still unconfirmed, as Samsung may well be planning to change the design of the Galaxy Note 6, seeing as how negatively fans reacted to the similarities between the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6. The program is similar to Sprint's iPhone Forever program, which allows customers to upgrade to Apple's latest iPhone iteration each year. With each new flagship smartphone, Samsung has found ways to improve the mobile display technology even further. Samsung's mobile display business is thriving not just because most of other handset maker order screens for their flagships directly from the South Korean company, but because Samsung smartphones have the best displays on the market. As far as chromatic options go, black trims are available for both handsets, while the S7 edge version gets a special gold color. This is what the "Adoptable Storage" setup looks like in Android 6.0. Samsung Dongle LTE Makes Your Car A Hotspot And More

The Mobile World Congress is one of the three most important technology fairs of the year, and although it is mainly focused on the world of smartphones, Samsung Electronics impressed many with the debut of its Samsung Connect Auto dongle. As explained in a report from The Verge via Yahoo! News, the device provides a way for owners of older cars to add LTE connectivity to their vehicles. The Samsung Connect Auto dongle plugs into a car's OBD II diagnostic port (most cars built in the last two decades have this port) and lets drivers monitor their vehicle's performance as well as locate it. The report also explained that it acts as a Wi-Fi hotspot for connecting to the internet with other devices while in the vehicle.
