Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Update: Custom ROM For T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Available

T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 users interested for an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update can opt to use a custom ROM. According to Team Android, a custom firmware called Twistedsixx is now available for the smartphone.

In particular, the Twistedsixx ROM based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS is compatible with Samsung Galaxy S6 units bearing the model number G920T, or the T-Mobile variant. It is essential to verify the handset's model number prior to executing the Android Marshmallow update procedure, as damage can be incurred when the custom ROM is used in an incompatible unit. To double check the phone's exact model, users can simply head to the smartphone's Settings menu, tap About Phone, and then look for Model Number.

As described on Team Android's post, besides the official functionalities from the OS, this Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow custom firmware update also comes with features like viper audio, 360 Degree UI rotation, and 4-Way Power Menu. Moreover, users can easily turn off the display by tapping the clock. Also, the custom ROM update available for T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Units essentially offers a smooth, fast, and stable performance.

Before proceeding with the actual update process, T-Mobile subscribers with Samsung Galaxy S6 should check battery level. It is recommended that smartphones have at least 80 percent power when installing a custom ROM.

A backup of all the essential files and settings stored on the phone should also be made before installing the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update via a custom ROM. Using any unofficial method for a firmware upgrade will likely wipe out the smartphone's entire memory, thus the need for a proper backup. Experts recommend the use of recovery tools such as ClockWorkMod and TWRP when making the handset's backup.

To prevent troubles connecting the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 to the computer, users will also need to enable USB Debugging mode, Team Android's post added. Also, make sure that the right USB drivers are installed on the PC.

The Samsung Galaxy Note7 (S820) Review

This year has been difficult for smartphones, which is a bit of a paradox when you consider just how much better things have gotten compared to last year. With Snapdragon 820, 650, 652, and 625 we've finally moved past the shadow of the Snapdragon 810, 808, and 617/615. While there were Android devices that shipped with the Exynos 7420, they were often paired with a modem that was not necessarily the most power efficient. In this context the Galaxy Note7 brings much of the flavor of the Galaxy S7 edge, but blends it with the S-Pen of the Note line and a few new features like the iris scanner. If you were paying attention to the industry with the launch of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note5, it's very much more of the same rather than the m
