Upcoming Samsung C Series Rumored to Come with Metallic Design

At a time when Samsung is upselling its Galaxy A phones by introducing them to the metal and glass design that, until recently, could only be seen in Galaxy S-series phones, new Galaxy C series phones, notably the C5 and the C7, could replace A-series phones as the next smartphones in the lower to mid-range phone market.

A Samsung Electronics Galaxy S5 device remained intact after being left outdoors for almost seven months, the South Korean tech giant said Monday, proving the smartphone's water and dust resistance.

As far as the launch markets are concerned, the alleged devices are expected to be exclusive to Chinese market.

According to the company, Bae Gyu-ryong, a 70-year-old user of the Galaxy S5 who works at a medical center in Chungju, about 150 km southeast of Seoul, lost his smartphone while working in a persimmon orchard near his rural farmhouse in September last year. The new budget smartphone will come with a 5.2-inch display and will be priced around $170.
