Strategy Analytics has released its analysis of the worldwide smartphone market for the second quarter, incorporating the most recent data from Apple. According to the firm, Samsung continued its dominance during the quarter, accounting for 22.1 percent of the market. Apple was second with just 11.4 percent of the global market, and Huawei was a very close third with a 10.7 percent share.
Overall, smartphone sales increased 5.5 percent year-over-year, and vendors shipped 360.4 million units during the second quarter.
