After the announcement Samsung to cause ignition of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, it was the turn of affiliate Samsung SDI, which has as its object the production of batteries, announced the measures that have been taken to avoid such situations from happening again.
The Samsung SDI invests further 128 million in the expansion of facilities in order to enhance the safety of the batteries. The company has already established a place for emergency situations in the city Cheonan factory and a special team which respectively faces problems as directly as possible. The task force includes 100 people from three different departments (Development, Production and Technology, Quality and Verification).
Security measures starting from the process of development in which the design will now be more careful to avoid "squeeze" of the electrolyte. In part of the production will be testing batteries with X-rays to ensure a one in a million probability of failure of materials. The next stage will be random checks on the products, but the number of samples will be 1000 times greater.
Those of Samsung SDI movements seem to convince other manufacturers, who have increased their orders back to pre-crisis levels with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 . Finally, logically the next of Samsung smartphone will use batteries from Samsung SDI.
