Xiaomi’s Mi Mix smartphone to come with Cortana pre-installed

We have seen Microsoft has been busy with its Android patent deals and covering almost all the smartphone brands. Earlier it was Samsung which has been pre-installing some of the Microsoft applications on their Android apps which is a part of a partnership with Microsoft. The Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi partnered with Microsoft and Xiaomi has sold around 1500 patents from Microsoft and in return, Xiaomi pre-installed a bunch of Microsoft applications on the new Xiaomi Mi Mix.

The agreement was made in the second quarter of this year, and Microsoft plans to build long-term partnerships with global leaders across the world with the goal of bringing the best user experience to the Mi Fans said Xiang Wang, Senior Vice President at Xiaomi.

Xiaomi becomes the second company to pre-install Windows 10 personal assist Cortana on its handset as we have seen Microsoft teaming up with Cyanogen in 2015 to provide its services into the Cyanogen OS device like OnePlus One who got the Cortana update overt the air. Xiaomi will be pre-installing Microsoft's Office suite of apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Skype on its smartphones and now we have seen the company is also pre-installing Cortana on its bezel-less Mi MIX.

Coming to the Mi Mix, it sports a 6.4-inch Full HD display on the front with 1080 x 2040 pixels resolution. Under the hood, there is a 2.35GHz Snapdragon 821 processor that also used in the Mi 5S Plus and Mi Note 2 smartphones. With a bigger screen size, the Mi MIX is equipped with a bigger 4,400mAh battery along with Quick Charge 3.0 support.

There is a 16MP rear camera with PDAF and is accompanied with a 5MP front camera. The handset comes in two variants with 4GB RAM + 128GB Storage and the other one with 6GB RAM + 256GB storage. The 4GB variant of Mi MIX costs 3499 Yuan while the 6GB RAM variant is priced at 3999 Yuan.

The Samsung Galaxy Note7 (S820) Review

This year has been difficult for smartphones, which is a bit of a paradox when you consider just how much better things have gotten compared to last year. With Snapdragon 820, 650, 652, and 625 we've finally moved past the shadow of the Snapdragon 810, 808, and 617/615. While there were Android devices that shipped with the Exynos 7420, they were often paired with a modem that was not necessarily the most power efficient. Despite all of this, there seems to be a general disappointment with smartphones. People are increasingly finding it hard to justify phones like the HTC 10 or Galaxy S7 with competition from OnePlus, Xiaomi, and even Apple with their iPhone SE. In this context the Galaxy Note7 brings much of the flavor of the Galaxy S7 edge, but blends it with the S-Pen of the Note line and a few new features like the iris scanner. If you were paying attention to the industry with the launch of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note5, it's very much more of the same rather than the m
