Smartphones, Wearables To Dominate IFA 2016

Samsung hosted its 2016 IFA press conference at CityCube at Messe Berlin, revealing its latest Quantum dot TV, the 88 inch KS9800, with a new 10-year warranty, as well as the world's first curved Quantum dot PC monitors: the CF791, with a 34-inch Ultra Wide QHD screen and the CFG70, the first curved monitor with a one millisecond moving picture response time and 144 hertz refresh rate.

The Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin is a well-known tech event held every September or Berlin for short which allows exhibitors to showcase their latest innovations and products to the general populace. IFA 2016 is scheduled to take place from September 2 to September 7. There are rumors that Sony will unveil its new phone Xperia Z6, South Korean smart phone firm LG will unveil its next gen curved smart phone, the G Flex 3 at the show along with LG V20 which is likely to be shown in separate event of San Francisco, Huawei might unveil Mate 9 handset, Samsung who recently launched Galaxy Note 7, rumors suggest that the company might come up with new smart phone. They forecast that a QLED TV will be launched after three to five years or faster.

We should not expect any Huawei device of the Mate series, as speculations are mounting that a new series entirely aimed at the mid-range market is set to pop out at the event.

Samsung has also launched an iOS beta program for Gear S2 and Fit 2, so we can expect the new S3 to be compatible with iPhones relatively soon.

Huawei is holding a press conference on September 1 at which it will announce a new smartphone.

However, early indications pointed to a 21MP snapper, so it looks like we'll get one or the other.

While we are not sure of Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, one thing is confirmed at Samsung's pre-IFA event today - yes, Gear S3. The powerful processor is paired with 512 MB of RAM and an internal storage capacity of 4 GB.

The new Samsung quantum-dot SUHD TVs will also feature a new Samsung Smart TV user interface with improved features just like auto-detection, very useful for setting up A/V devices gaming consoles, and media streaming boxes. The XZ has a 23MP rear-facing snapper with dual LED flash and laser autofocus, and a 13MP camera on the front.

Hideyuki Furumi, Executive Vice President for Global Sales and Marketing, Sony Mobile Communications said: "With Xperia we want to assist you when and where it matters most, making your everyday lives more convenient, more effortless, and more spontaneous".

Acer, in partnership with Starbreeze Studios, could launch its Panoramic StarVR. European partners including RTVE and Insight TV will also begin to offer HDR content in the second half of 2016.

Samsung is building a revolutionary ROLL-UP smartphone

The South Korean technology firm recently used its flexible display technology in the award-winning Galaxy S6 Edge, which has a dual curved QHD screen. However this latest patent, which was published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, shows the company has bolder ambitions for its curved displays. The illustrations filed with the approved patent reveal a cylindrical hub, which houses the rolled display – which unfurls like a pair of window blinds. The Samsung Galaxy Note7 (S820) Review

This year has been difficult for smartphones, which is a bit of a paradox when you consider just how much better things have gotten compared to last year. With Snapdragon 820, 650, 652, and 625 we've finally moved past the shadow of the Snapdragon 810, 808, and 617/615. While there were Android devices that shipped with the Exynos 7420, they were often paired with a modem that was not necessarily the most power efficient. Despite all of this, there seems to be a general disappointment with smartphones. People are increasingly finding it hard to justify phones like the HTC 10 or Galaxy S7 with competition from OnePlus, Xiaomi, and even Apple with their iPhone SE. In this context the Galaxy Note7 brings much of the flavor of the Galaxy S7 edge, but blends it with the S-Pen of the Note line and a few new features like the iris scanner. If you were paying attention to the industry with the launch of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note5, it's very much more of the same rather than the m

Why do Android fanboys hate admitting that Samsung copied Apple?

It's impossible to cover the mobile market without diving into the good ol' "iOS vs. Android" debate from time to time. These are the two biggest mobile platforms on the planet, so they're constantly being compared. Likewise, Samsung and Apple are the world's top two smartphone vendors, so their phones are constantly pitted against each other as well. Of course, there's another reason Apple and Samsung are often mentioned in the same breath: after entering the market, Samsung quickly grew to become the top mobile device maker on the planet thanks in large part to Apple. First, Samsung did everything it possibly could to copy Apple's iPhone and iPad. Then, it spent billions upon billions of dollars belittling Apple products in TV, online, and print advertising. Samsung spent years positioning its own devices as the cool alternative to Apple's iPhone, and its efforts paid off big time. Even now, Samsung continues to copy Apple all the time acro
