New Delhi: South Korean technology major Samsung has launched its slimmest smartphone 'Galaxy A8' with fingerprint sensor in the Indian market. Available in Black, White, and Gold colour variants, the smartphone having 5.9 mm thickness, is priced at Rs 32,500.
The dual-SIM Samsung Galaxy A8 runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Of the dual SIM slots, one also works as a microSD card slot.
It sports a 5.7-inch full-HD super AMOLED display that has a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The device also has Adreno 405 GPU for handling better graphics.
The Samsung new smartphone is powered with 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. The device has 4GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB with microSD card.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 smartphone is available in 32GB inbuilt storage memory, which can be expanded up to 128 GB with microSD card.
The device features a 16-megapixel rear auto-focus camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera.
For connectivity options, the smartphone offers 4G FDD LTE, TDD LTE with Band 40 (2300MHz) support, Bluetooth 4.1, dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, NFC, and USB 2.0. The Samsung new launch is backed with a 3050mAh battery.
