Samsung Galaxy Note 8: In Pictures

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is the phone to buy if productivity capabilities is what you want.

Samsung trumped everyone this year by launching the best looking smartphones in the form of the Galaxy S8 and the S8\+. Last week, the two flagships were joined by Samsung's biggest phone of the year, the Galaxy Note 8. We had the chance to check out the phone here at IFA, Berlin. While it is not as curved as the previous Samsung flagships, the phone still is a looker.

Let's start with the display, which at 6.3-inches, is huge but at the same time the almost bezel-less design along with slightly curved edges gives the phone a smart and a rather desirable look.

The curved design is aptly complimented by the bright AMOLED display and the pixel perfect 2K resolution.

On the left side of the phone lies the volume rocker and below it is the dedicated Bixby key. The right side has the power button and all keys feel tactile and provide ample feedback when pressed.

However, the feature that makes the phone "Note-like" is the stylus. Samsung says that the new stylus has now improved tracking as well as more pressure points than previous iterations.

Samsung has also brought a dual camera into the mix and the Note 8 uses two 12MP cameras at the back with f/1.7 aperture. What's more, both of these cameras have OIS (optical image stabilization).

While the image quality is right up there, Note 8 also takes on the latest trend of clicking Bokeh or "Portrait" images, essentially blurring the background behind the subject.

Like the S8Where to buy 800 4772, the Note 8 also features a glass back and supports wireless charging. The iris scanning feature is also present, but unfortunately the fingerprint scanner is still in an odd position.

    The Samsung Galaxy Note7 (S820) Review

    This year has been difficult for smartphones, which is a bit of a paradox when you consider just how much better things have gotten compared to last year.
