Samsung's soon-to-be launched smartphone Galaxy A9 has reportedly been spotted on a benchmarking site, revealing key details of the device.

Technology blog Mobile-Dad, while sifting through the popular Geekbench performance site, has stumbled upon the document page of Samsung device SM-A9000, understood to be the Galaxy A9.

As per the Galaxy A9 score-sheet, it gets an impressive 1,446 and 4,134 points in single-core and multi-core testing, respectively, thanks to the Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 620 (MSM8976) Octa-core (1.8GHz ARM Cortex-A72 + 1.4GHz ARM Cortex-A53) processor with Adreno 510 graphics engine.

It also revealed that the Samsung device will house 3GB RAM and run the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.

For the uninitiated, Snapdragon 620 will come incorporated with Cat. 6 LTE modem technology, thus enabling 300Mbps of download speed in the device. That's not all: It also supports 4K-resolution video recording and quick-charge 2.0 technology.

As of now, there is no official word on when the Galaxy A9 will be unveiled. But, if we go by rumours, Samsung is expected to pull the wraps off the device by December-end or early January 2016.

As per previous reports, it ought to sport a 6.0-inch full-HD AMOLED screen with 1920x1080p resolution, and feature 32GB inbuilt storage (expandable by up to 128 GB via microSD card), 16MP main camera and a 5MP snapper on the front. Stay tuned for more updates.
